We are active members of the Ayam Cemani Breeders Association and work towards the proposed Standard of Perfection. We always try to pick out the best chicks but we cannot guarantee their quality as adults. Any dedicated breeder will tell you that Ayam Cemani can grow into better fibro expression, but they can also grow out of it, hence why Ayam Cemani are considered a high cull rate breed. We continue to put a lot of work and effort into our Mockingbird Homestead Line of Ayam Cemani.

We will contact you to schedule shipping once your order has been received. We hatch chicks out weekly to ensure orders are filled in a timely manner. Chicks are sold as straight run only!
Ayam Cemani originate in Indonesia and are known to have black feathers, black skin, black comb, black wattles, black flesh, black organs and black bones. This makes this breed one of the most beautiful chickens on the planet, hailing them as "The Lamborghini of Poultry."
Chicks are sent out the day of hatch. The chicks will come included with Gro-gel and heat packs (Depending on time of the year and where they are being shipped) to ensure they stay hydrated and warm during their trip. Chicks are sent Express through USPS and typically take 1-2 days to arrive. Shipping is a flat rate of $65 per box. This includes the cost of shipment, shipping box, Gro-gel and heat packs for the chicks. 1 box holds up to 25 chicks. An order over 25 chicks will require a second shipping cost. For live chicks and hatching eggs we ship Monday-Wed to ensure that items arrive in a timely manner and are not held at the post office over the weekend. Live chicks and hatching eggs will be held at the post office for pickup unless the customer requests otherwise. Local Farm Gate Pickup is available as well. Mockingbird Homesteads official policy is that we do not issue refunds for orders unless we are unable to complete an order within the shipping season.
